Nothing is more frustrating than internet that doesn’t work. You’re trying to watch something, and it buffers. You’re on a video call, and you freeze. Your phone works fine, but your laptop won’t connect at all.

If you’re dealing with WiFi problems in Florence, Darlington, Hartsville, or anywhere in the Pee Dee region, I can help sort it out.

Common WiFi Problems I See

The dead zone. WiFi works great in the living room but dies in the bedroom. This is super common, especially in older homes or larger houses. The router is usually in a corner somewhere, and the signal just doesn’t reach everywhere.

Devices randomly disconnecting. Everything’s working, then suddenly your tablet says “No Internet Connection.” You restart it, it works for a while, then drops again.

Slow internet even with a good plan. You’re paying for fast internet, but it feels like dial-up. Could be your router, your devices, interference from neighbors, or a dozen other things.

Can’t connect new devices. You got a new phone or smart TV, and it just won’t connect to the WiFi. Password’s right, but it won’t work.

The whole network crashes. Internet goes down for everyone in the house. Sometimes the fix is to restart everything, but that gets old fast.

Why WiFi Problems Are Tricky

Here’s the thing about WiFi: there are a lot of variables. Your internet service (Spectrum, AT&T, whoever), your modem, your router, your devices, the layout of your house, what your neighbors’ networks are doing, even your microwave — all of these can affect your WiFi.

When you call your internet provider, they usually just tell you to restart your router. If that doesn’t work, they might send a technician who checks the line to your house and leaves. They don’t really deal with what’s happening inside your home.

That’s where I come in.

What I Actually Do

When I come to your house, I look at the whole picture:

Check your equipment. Is your router ancient? Is it in a bad spot? Sometimes the “free” router from your internet company is garbage and needs to be replaced.

Test your actual speeds. What are you getting at the router? What about across the house? This tells me if the problem is your internet service or your WiFi coverage.

Find the interference. Other networks, baby monitors, microwaves — lots of things can mess with WiFi. I’ll figure out what’s causing problems.

Fix the coverage issues. Sometimes it’s repositioning the router. Sometimes it’s adding a WiFi extender or mesh system. I’ll tell you what makes sense for your specific situation.

Get all your devices connected. Smart TVs, phones, tablets, laptops, whatever you’ve got — I’ll make sure everything works.

Should You Upgrade Your Router?

Maybe. The router your internet company provides is often basic. If you’ve had it for years, it might not support newer, faster WiFi standards.

But I’m not going to tell you to buy a $300 router if you don’t need it. Sometimes a $40 fix solves the problem. I’ll give you an honest assessment.

If you do need something new, I can recommend options and set it up for you. I won’t just hand you a box and leave you to figure it out.

What About Mesh WiFi Systems?

You might have heard of mesh systems like Google Nest WiFi, Eero, or Orbi. These use multiple units around your house to create seamless coverage.

They’re great for larger homes or houses with dead zones, but they’re not magic and they’re not cheap. I can tell you if one would help your situation and help you set it up if so.

Service Area

I cover Florence, Darlington, Hartsville, and the surrounding Pee Dee area. $100 flat rate includes travel and up to two hours of work.

Let’s Fix Your WiFi

Dealing with spotty internet is annoying. You shouldn’t have to restart your router every day or stand in a specific corner to get signal.
